Why This Community Exists
FIrst and foremost, this is NOT a dating site. There are plenty of those to choose from, and I ask that you use them if that is what you are looking for. This community is not for hooking up, nudity, or anything of the kind, and I will delete your account for doing so. Respect what this community is trying to build please.
Meeting new people as an adult is tough — especially for men. Most guys don’t want to hang out on dating apps, Facebook drama groups, or random social media feeds. They want real friendships, real conversations, and real people who share the same interests. More importantly, men NEED those relationships for mental health reasons. Almost 80 percent of all suicides are men. Most of those men are between 25-59, with loneliness and mental health cited as 2 of the leading causes.
We as men lose track of our boys over the years. We move, take jobs elsewhere, get married and have families, making it easy to end the cultivation of those friendships as adults. Many men are stuck with the only people they call friends being their partner’s circle, or worse, no one at all. This community aims to remove the awkwardness of making a new friend by allowing you to look for WHY you want that friend. Tired of watching the Lions get beat down by my Bears alone? Want to go get a good slice and a beer with a friend? Head up north for an outdoor weekend? Or do you just want to hang out with a buddy, not say anything for 2 hours, burn a good one and enjoy the peace?
This community aims to fix that. No AI bots, no listings that are just links to DraftKings. Every person you talk to on this site is a real person, well as real as they choose to be. As this is a new community, initially numbers will be small, but real. We will grow organically through word of mouth, and just getting the word out.
